Prep Work

I'm currently eating my third meal of Mexican food in the past 24 hours.
I also have every intention of eating some Blue Bell Krazy Kookie Dough ice cream tonight. (Shout out: Justin Bell)
I have to enjoy it now! I won't see Texas again until June 20th.
I also spent this entire afternoon trying to pack a month's worth of clothes, a couple textbooks, and coffee (I hear it's pretty sparse in China...) into one suitcase.  The pre-departure checklist has been completely checked, but the anxiety is building. I have absolutely no idea what to expect!

What I do know: I am traveling to Beijing, China with a group from Texas A&M's Mays Business School; there are 5 ladies, 8 guys, and 1 experienced professor making the trip.  While there, I will be taking two courses - one course will be taught by our accompanying professor and the other by guest lecturers from Beijing Jiaotong University, which is where we will be staying.

Our flight leaves from Houston tomorrow evening, and after an unfortunate 15 hour economy-class flight, we will have a brief layover in Dubai, UAE.  We will board again for an 8 hour flight from Dubai to Beijing, where I fully anticipate severe jet-lag and terrible disorientation as to date and time.

Now you have about as much information as I have.
This should be interesting...
